The STMicroelectronics E-L6219DS is a high-performance automotive grade power switching IC ideally suited for pulse width modulation (PWM) applications such as vehicle headlamps, high-intensity discharge (HID) and LED installations. The device contains an efficient current Regulator (CR) control circuit, allowing for adjustable output current over a controlled range. The power MOSFETs used in this device provide a wide field operating range and features low on-resistance to provide higher efficiency, low EMI, and lower emissions. The E-L6219DS is qualified according to AEC-Q100 standards, has excellent immunity against CMOS and DSM dV/dt strikes, and is able to operate up to 500 kHz with a minimum on-time of 500 ns. The E-L6219DS is suitable for use in automotive headlamp designs as well as other applications requiring high efficiency and low cost.
