The CD4076BE is a CMOS dual 4-input NAND gate device from Texas Instruments. It is composed of two independent gates, each with four CMOS buffers and four NAND gates. It is designed to meet the most demanding electrical requirements of CMOS and TTL logic applications. Each gate is composed of a Schmitt NAND gate, with selectable thresholds, and a totem-pole CMOS buffer and inverter. The Schmitt NAND gate has an input threshold that is reasonably adjustable by the user, and it has a hysteresis characteristic that allows the digital outputs to remain stable with input noise and noise on the power supply. The CMOS buffer is designed to provide stable digital output and ultra-high speed response for TTL applications. The gates also incorporate protection diodes to avoid latch-up failure in high-impedance state. This device is available in an industry-standard and relocatable plastic dual-in-line package with 0.300 inch lead spacing.
