Description
This is a transient voltage suppressor (TVS)-based electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection device developed to provide system-level ESD solutions for a variety of portable and industrial applications. The back-to-back diode array enables AC-coupled or negative-going data transfer (audio interface, LVDS, RS-485, RS-232, and so on) while maintaining signal integrity. This device meets or surpasses the IEC 61000-4-2 (Level 4) ESD protection standard and is perfect for providing system level ESD protection for internal ICs when placed near a connector.
The TPD2E007 is available in four-bump PicoStar and three-pin SOT (DGK) packages. The PicoStar package (YFM), with a package height of only 0.15 mm (Max), is ideal for ultra-space-saving applications where package height is critical. The PicoStar package can be used in both embedded PCB board and surface mount applications. In legacy designs, the industry standard SOT package provides a simple board layout alternative.
