The LM2676SX-5.0 from Texas Instruments is a dc switching regulator designed for easy implementation and reliable operation. This 3A, 260kHz Step-Down Surface Mount 5V Fixed DDPAK/TO-263-7 Buck Converter offers a highly integrated solution to buck-converting step-down power applications. With a wide range of switching frequencies, this device keeps the external components at a minimum while a fixed voltage output provides accurate voltage regulation. The LM2676SX-5.0 offers low RDS(ON) current sensing and current- mode control. Its small footprint and low-standby-mode current of 0.6mA make it an excellent choice for low power systems. Additionally, a logic enable pin provides external shutdown capability and allows synchronization with external clock signals. With its high efficiency, wide input voltage range of 3V to 40V, high current output and compact size, the LM2676SX-5.0 is ideal for any reliable, low-cost, buck-converter applications.
