**TheMC14029B Binary/Decade up/down counter isconstructed with MOS
P–channeland N–channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithicstructure. The counter consists of type D flip–flop stages with a gatingstructure to provide toggle flip–flop capability. The counter can be**
usedin either Binaryor BCD operation. This complementary MOS counter findsprimary use in up/down and difference counting and frequency synthesizerapplications where low power dissipationand/or high noise immunityis desired. It is also useful in A/D and D/A conversion and for magnitude and sign generation.
