The Texas Instruments TPS61028DRCRG4 is an advanced buck-boost converter designed to provide robust and reliable operation in a wide variety of applications. The device features an adjustable output voltage that can be set between 0.5V and 3.8V and an output current capability of up to 500mA. Additionally, the TPS61028DRCRG4 provides great efficiency in both buck and boost modes, thanks to its integrated shielded cells, spread spectrum frequency synchronization, and analog dimming. The device also features an external resistor divider that allows for precise voltage control and its 0.5V low quiescent current allows for energy-efficient operation. The TPS61028DRCRG4 supports both soft-start and pre-bias startup—enabling optimal system performance in a wide range of power sources. Moreover, the device is protected from over-current and over-temperatures thanks to its integrated OCP, OVP, and thermal protection circuitry.
